The Butterfly Project - Remembering the Children of the Holocaust
Posted on 01/28/2022
Park Vista High School embraces NEXT GENERATIONS’ International Butterfly Project and its call to action through education, arts and memorial making. Using the lessons of the Holocaust to educate about the dangers of hatred and bigotry and cultivate empathy and social responsibility, Park Vista students painted beautiful ceramic butterflies that will be displayed at the Palm Beach County Courthouse. As symbols of resilience and hope, the goal of The Butterfly Project is to create 1.5 million butterflies around the world, one for each child who perished in the Holocaust, as well as honoring the survivors.
